Groundbreaking ceremony for the Horadiz–Aghband railway line

On February 14, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, and their daughter Leyla Aliyeva attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Horadiz–Aghband railway line. The Head of State laid the foundation stone for the railway.

The Horadiz–Aghband railway line, with a total length of 100 kilometers, holds great strategic importance. This transport infrastructure will play a vital role in ensuring the movement of Azerbaijani citizens to the liberated territories and, more importantly, will make a major contribution to the establishment of a direct railway connection between the main part of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
