Foundation of the “Dost Agropark”

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan laid a foundation for “Dost Agropark” in the Zangilan district on October 26 and planted plane trees in the agricultural park. Then the presidents viewed a photo exhibition of the Anadolu agency dedicated to the Patriotic War. President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan presented the book “Victory in Karabakh” that he wrote a preface and was prepared by the Anadolu agency to President Ilham Aliyev.

Being realized by Turkish and Azerbaijani investors in Zangilan, the “Dost Agropark” project will be implemented in three stages. In the first stage, office buildings, covered and semi-open livestock complexes, social facilities, a cafe, a cinema, a recreation area, and buildings for service personnel will be built. The complex will raise 4,000 head of pedigree cattle, produce crop products and carry out other activities. All this will contribute to the food security of Azerbaijan and Turkiye and lead to the export of agricultural and livestock products of the region to international markets.

When the project is completed, plant-based production and technical areas, livestock areas for breeding 10 thousand head of pedigree cattle, and areas for seed production and the seedling will be created on 6,000 hectares.   An integrated meat processing and packaging facility targeting the entire region will be established, and an agricultural warehouse system with a capacity of 100,000 tons will be built in the park. This complex will meet the region’s demand for seeds, fertilizers, and agricultural supplies. Activities based on smart agricultural technologies, renewable energy, and sustainable agricultural mechanisms will be established in the Dost Agropark complex. After Agropark starts operating at full capacity, employment opportunities will be created for 500 people.
