Bilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi
On February 4, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
During the meeting, the progress achieved in implementing the outcomes of the Washington Peace Summit was positively assessed, and the importance of maintaining the continuity of the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia was emphasized.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the start of bilateral trade, the export of petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia, and the implementation of transit transportation through Azerbaijan’s territory. The meeting also included discussions on expanding economic cooperation, confidence-building measures, organizing mutual visits of civil society representatives, as well as TRIPP and other connectivity projects.
The President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia reaffirmed their readiness to continue efforts to further strengthen peace and stability between the two countries and agreed to maintain contacts in the support of bilateral normalization process.
