Bilateral meeting

During his business trip to Brussels on May 14, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, met with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel. During the meeting, the head of state expressed his gratitude to the President of the European Council for the invitation to Brussels. Both parties expressed their satisfaction with the resumption of the Brussels format in the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. President Ilham Aliyev thanked Charles Michel for his efforts in this direction.

During the conversation, they discussed recent events related to Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, the Washington talks, the situation on the Azerbaijan-Armenia border, as well as the agenda of the trilateral meeting to be held today with the participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, President of the European Council Charles Michel, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
