Bilateral meeting

On February 17, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held a meeting with the President of the European Council Charles Michel, in Munich. During the meeting, discussions focused on the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, negotiations on the peace treaty, and the Brussels peace process.

President Ilham Aliyev noted Azerbaijan’s support for the Brussels peace process. In turn, Charles Michel affirmed that the European Union will continue its efforts to support the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, peace treaty negotiations, and ensuring stability and security in the South Caucasus. During the conversation, views were also exchanged on the activities of the European Union mission in Armenia.
