Acquaintance with Works to be Done in the Palace of Panahali Khan and Imarat Complex

On October 4, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva got acquainted with the works to be done in the Palace of Panahali Khan and Imarat Complex. The initial concept project for the Imarat Complex, where the palace of Panahali Khan is located, and restoration work in which has been started according to the relevant order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, was developed by Italy’s “ArtCloud Network International s.c.r.l.” company. According to the original concept, the complex will consist of the palace of Panakhali Khan, a tomb, a ticket office, an information center, and a park for Karabakh horses. The Palace of Panakhali Khan will be restored and will function as an interactive museum.

The restoration and conservation work to be carried out in this complex will be led by cultural heritage program manager Alessandro Bianchi. He was engaged in restoration and conservation work not only in Italy, but also in Turkey, Georgia, Israel, Iraq, Albania, Ethiopia, and other countries, and he also participated as a specialist in projects, trainings, and programs of many international organizations. The financial means required for the initial works on the design of the complex will be allocated as a grant by the Karabakh Revival Foundation.
