Acquaintance with the Works to be Carried out in the House-Museum of Uzeir Hajibeyli

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva got acquainted with the works to be carried out in the house-museum of Uzeir Hajibeyli in Shusha on August 29.

The house-museum of eminent composer, founder of our professional music art and national opera Uzeir Hajibeyli, operated until the occupation of Shusha by Armenia. About 100 out of the 1700 exhibits in the museum associated with the composer-genius were saved, and the rest were subjected to vandalism by Armenian occupants and destroyed.

A project of works to be carried out in the house-museum has been developed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. After the works to be carried out in the house-museum, it is planned to place the exhibits of the museum here, which were taken to Baku in 1992. These are Uzeir Hajibeyli’s photos, letters, the score of his works, and personal belongings.
