President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva viewed the construction progress at the Fuzuli International Airport on August 29. Fuzuli International Airport, known as the air gateway to Karabakh, is being built at the most modern level. The commissioning of the passenger terminal will be completed by the end of September while considering the launch of luggage conveyors, check-in, and other systems.
A 3,000-meter-long and 60-meter-wide runway has been put into operation at the airport. The airport will be able to receive any type of aircraft. A platform was also built here. The construction of the Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower equipped with automated systems has been completed. Due to this, it will be possible to start flights to Fuzuli airport in accordance with ICAO and IATA standards. A parking lot for 150 cars has been built in front of the terminal to ensure the comfort of passengers. Building the road to the Fuzuli International Airport entrance and landscaping work at the airport is underway.
