Acquaintance with the work done in the tunnels built on the Toghanali–Kalbajar–Istisu highway

On May 27, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inspected the work being carried out on the tunnels constructed along the 82-kilometer Toghanali–Kalbajar–Istisu highway.

The construction of the Toghanali–Kalbajar–Istisu highway is progressing rapidly. The road, classified as Grade I, II, and III, will consist of two, three, and four lanes. There are five tunnels on this road with a total length of 25.9 kilometers. Excavation work has been completed on 12.3 kilometers of these tunnels. The longest tunnel passes under the Murov Mountain. This tunnel is 11.6 kilometers long.
