Acquaintance with the work carried out at Karabakh University

On July 5, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the work undertaken at Karabakh University, in the city of Khankendi.

The facade of the university building has been repainted, and additional modifications have been made to restore the historical appearance of the main entrance. The flooring of the building’s corridors were removed and renovated. The interior walls have been replastered, and under-plaster communication lines have been upgraded. All rooms will be equipped with furniture and equipment in accordance with modern requirements. Extensive landscaping work has been carried out on the territory of the university. The park in front of the building was demolished and a new one in accordance with modern requirements was built in its place.

At the initial phase, Karabakh University will offer academic programs in six faculties: Pedagogy, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Economics, Engineering, and Tourism. For the 2024/2025 academic year, a total of 1,120 students are expected to study at the university in 27 specialties. Additionally, SABAH groups will be established in 8 specialties. Several benefits are also provided for students studying at Karabakh University. Thus, students who will study here will be provided with free apartment-type dormitories, scholarships, as well as computers (notebooks). Students who achieve the highest entrance scores will receive additional scholarships. An environmentally friendly university campus will be created for students.
