Acquaintance with the restoration works carried out in Mamayi mosque in Shusha

On November 7, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the Mamayi mosque in Shusha to review the ongoing restoration work being carried out by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The mosque, located in the Mamayi neighborhood in the central part of Shusha, was built in the late 19th century by Karbalayi Safikhan Karabakhi. The mosque is a two-story rectangular structure with a columned interior. Currently, restoration work at the mosque is being conducted by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation with the support of Pasha Holding. The restoration project also includes the Mamayi spring.
