Acquaintance with the ongoing work at Aghdam Industrial Park

On September 19, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the ongoing work at Aghdam Industrial Park.

Aghdam Industrial Park, managed by the Economic Zones Development Agency, was established in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 28, 2021. The industrial park spans an area of 190 hectares. The priority areas of the industrial park have been identified as the production of construction materials, packaging of agricultural products, canned fruits and vegetables, meat and dairy products, production and processing of feed, fertilizers, as well as the organization of service areas, refrigeration chambers, etc.

Among the industrial parks under the management of the Economic Zones Development Agency, Aghdam Industrial Park ranks second after Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park in terms of the number of residents. A total of 27 business entities have been granted resident status in the park, with investments exceeding 238 million manats, while 6 entities have received non-resident status. A total of 2,090 jobs are expected to be created in the industrial park by these 33 business entities. To date, residents have invested over 72 million manats into the park, resulting in the creation of nearly 300 permanent jobs.
