Acquaintance with the Natavan Spring

On August 23, during their visit to the city of Shusha, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and his wife Ziroatchon Mirziyoyeva got acquainted with the Natavan Spring.

During the visit, it was noted that the “Khan gizi” (Khan’s daughter) spring, which was put into use shortly after Shusha was liberated from occupation, is one of the city’s famous landmarks. Khan’s daughter Khurshidbanu Natavan was known not only as a poet, but also for her benevolence. The water line built by Natavan to the city was famous under the name “Khan gizi” spring. The spring, whose water dried up during the occupation, is again used by residents and visitors of the city.
