Acquaintance with the Master Plan of Shusha

On March 12, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev got acquainted with the Master Plan of the city of Shusha.

The preservation of the city’s historical grandeur was a primary consideration in the preparation of the Master Plan. All projects carried out in Azerbaijan’s cultural capital are designed to blend history with modernity. The Master Plan includes provisions for the construction of medium, high, and mixed-density residential buildings, as well as the locations of the city center, newly built structures, and preserved historical buildings and monuments. Restoration and reconstruction work in Shusha is currently ongoing according to the Master Plan.
