Acquaintance with the Intensive Orchard in Zangilan

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva got acquainted with the intensive orchard in the Zangilan district on May 27.

An intensive apricot orchard was laid here on an area of 40 hectares. 4 types of seedlings were planted on 10 hectares each. Two of the seedlings are Spanish varieties, and two are local ones. It is planned to lay a nectarine garden on 60 hectares in the future.

The Zangilan Logistics Center will be built to store and sort the produce grown in the intensive orchard. The center will have a storage warehouse with a capacity of 5 thousand tons, consisting of 36 refrigerator chambers, as well as growing cameras, automated terminals, packaging, sorting areas, weighing areas, cargo handling, a transport park, and an office building.
