Acquaintance with the construction work underway at Victory Park in Baku

On July 24, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inspected the construction work underway in Victory Park in Baku.

The area of ​​the Victory Park, located on 8 November Avenue, is more than nine hectares. The entrance to the park features 44 arch elements. The arches symbolize the beginning of the symbolic road to Victory. The arch is 44 meters high and 22 meters wide.

At the park’s entrance section, a memorial monument will be erected to commemorate November 8 – Victory Day and symbolize the unshakable unity. A green area reflecting the patterns and decorative elements of Karabakh carpets will be planted around the memorial monument. The side wall of the museum, which has an area of ​​9,200 square meters, will feature the names of soldiers and officers who became martyrs in the struggle for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.
