Acquaintance with the Construction Work Underway at the Lachin International Airport

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the construction work underway at the Lachin International Airport on 26 June.

The construction of the Lachin International Airport, which was founded in 2021, is planned to be completed in 2024. The airport’s runway will be 3,000 meters long and 60 meters wide. The area of the terminal building of the airport, designed according to international standards, is 5000 square meters and will be able to serve 200 passengers per hour.

The conditions to be created at the Lachin International Airport will allow flights according to ICAO and IATA standards. The airport is located about 30 kilometers from the city of Lachin, 70 kilometers from Shusha, and 60 kilometers from Kalbajar cities.
