Acquaintance with the Construction of the Kalbadjar-Lachin Highway

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the construction of the Kalbadjar-Lachin highway on June 26. Connecting Kalbajar and Lachin districts, this highway has been built in accordance with the first and second technical categories with 2 and 4 traffic lanes.

At present, excavation and backfilling work is being carried out in certain parts of the road, and a new roadbed is being established. In addition, the construction of rectangular and circular water pipes, as well as water canals, drainage, and stonewalls are underway. The digging process continues in two of the tunnels planned to be built along the road under the project. Work had begun on the entrance and exit sections of one of the tunnels.
