On October 15, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the progress of the construction at the Aghdam–Fuzuli highway.
The Aghdam–Fuzuli highway, foundation of which was laid in October 2021 and construction is rapidly progressing, is considered one of the significant projects being implemented in the Karabakh economic region, playing a crucial role in the socio-economic development of the districts and villages liberated from occupation. As an extension of the Barda–Aghdam highway, this road passes through the territories of Aghdam, Aghjabadi, and Fuzuli districts. The highway will be 64.8 kilometers long, with a roadway width of 15 meters, and will be constructed to the first technical grade with four lanes.
