Acquaintance with ongoing construction at the Istisu Health and Recreation Complex

On September 2, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva got acquainted with the ongoing construction work at the Istisu Health and Recreation Complex in the Kalbajar district.  

The total area of ​​the reconstructed Istisu Health and Recreation Complex will be 80 thousand square meters. Currently, construction is underway for a hotel building with 145 rooms, 10 cottages, and 5 administrative buildings within the complex. The hotel building of the complex will include restaurants, cafés, a conference hall, a bowling center, a children’s entertainment area, and various recreational zones.

Within the hotel building, a spa center covering 10,000 square meters will include16 indoor and outdoor pools of various functions, thermal baths, therapeutic thermal water pools, contrast therapy pools with hot and cold water, thermal hydro pools, a pressurized water therapy room, steam rooms, a salt room, therapeutic mud treatment rooms, massage rooms, other procedure rooms, and relaxation areas. The spa center of the complex is intended to operate in the areas of mineral water treatment, peloid therapy (mud treatment), and climatotherapy (climate treatment).
