Opening ceremony of the Khojaly Substation and Digital Control Center

On May 9, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the Khojaly Substation and Digital Control Center of Azerishiq Open Joint Stock Company.

The 3200 kVA Khojaly Substation and the Digital Control Center were built to ensure a stable, reliable, and uninterrupted electricity supply to new residential complexes, agricultural and tourism facilities, as well as various socio-economic infrastructure projects in the Khojaly district. To provide electricity to the substation, transmission lines have been laid from the Khankendi-1 and Asgaran substations. Through the construction of a 35 kV transmission line, the new substation will be connected to the Aghdam-2 substation, thereby forming a circular power supply scheme connecting the cities of Aghdam, Asgaran, Khojaly, and Khankendi.

Through the Digital Control Center, all real-time data on the status of the network is centrally collected and processed, equipment is remotely controlled, and real-time monitoring is carried out via digital systems. The substation has been equipped with next-generation digital technologies and control systems to support these functions. Additionally, 52 kW solar panels have been installed at the center, enabling the generated energy to be fed into the grid, the area is also equipped with fast-charging stations for electric vehicles.
