Groundbreaking ceremony of the Victory Park in Khankendi

On February 19, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Victory Park in the city of Khankendi and laid the foundation for the park.

In preparation for the establishment of the Victory Park in Khankendi, demolition works are planned over an area of 12.9 hectares. The territory has been conditionally divided into two sections, with demolition works already completed in the first section, which covers 8.3 hectares. The second part covers an area of 4.6 hectares. Demolition work will also be carried out there.

To preserve the existing trees in the area, a joint inspection was conducted with the relevant organizations, identifying 262 trees of various species. Additionally, more than 300 trees of 21 different species are planned to be planted within the park. Currently, site planning works are underway.
