Groundbreaking ceremony for furniture cluster in Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park

On October 3, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the foundation laying ceremony for a furniture cluster owned by Lithuania’s Dominari company in the Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park, in the Jabrayil district. The head of state laid the foundation for a furniture cluster.

Lithuanian company Dominari has been registered as a resident of the Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park. The company plans to implement a 5-stage furniture cluster project on a 10-hectare area of ​​the industrial park. At the initial stage, it is planned to establish a factory for the production of foam rubber, the main raw material for mattress production, and a textile factory that will supply fabric to various stages of the furniture cluster.

With an investment value exceeding 50 million manats, the facility is expected to employ 650 people in its initial stage. Annually, the company will produce 6,000 tons of flexible polyurethane, 250,000 units of various furniture, as well as 1 million covers for mattresses, sofas and beds, 200,000 mattresses, and 5.5 thousand cubic meters of furniture components. The manufactured products will be marketed both domestically and exported abroad.
