Opening ceremony of the student dormitory of Karabakh University following renovation

On September 20, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the renovated student dormitory of Karabakh University in the city of Khankendi.

The dormitory, designed for student accommodation, consists of five apartment-style buildings. All buildings have undergone comprehensive renovation in line with modern standards. Each apartment is fully equipped with necessary facilities, and the living conditions have been adapted to meet contemporary campus living concepts. The dormitory also includes recreational areas, a cafeteria, and sports facilities. In total, accommodation has been provided free of charge for 1,154 students.

The university campus includes four residential buildings comprising a total of 186 apartments designated for university staff and their families. All apartments have been thoroughly renovated and equipped with appropriate furnishings. Currently, housing has been provided for up to 140 staff members and their family members. These apartments are intended to be used free of charge for the duration of the employees’ tenure at the university.
