Groundbreaking ceremony for the Istisu settlement in Kalbajar district

On September 2, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation for the Istisu settlement in the Kalbajar district.

Istisu settlement is located in the western part of Kalbajar. The design work of the settlement, which has a total area of ​​63.1 hectares, will be carried out in stages. According to the master plan, 159 individual houses, 71 townhouses (142 apartments) and 10 buildings with 180 apartments will be built here in the future.

The area of ​​the land to be developed in the first phase is 39.2 hectares. This phase envisages the construction of 159 individual houses. These will include two, three, four, and five-room homes, and 159 families will be resettled in this initial phase.

A school for 352 students, a kindergarten for 100 students, an administrative building, a club-community center, a sports and health center, a medical center, a flag square, a sports field and other necessary facilities will be created in the Istisu settlement.
