Opening ceremony of the Istisu substation

On September 2, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the 110/35/10 kV Istisu substation of Azerishiq OJSC in the Istisu settlement of the Kalbajar district and launched the substation.

Two 110/35 kV Istisu substations with a capacity of 40 MVA were built in the Kalbajar district to supply electricity to the Istisu sanatorium and Istisu mineral water plant, the foundation of which was laid by President Ilham Aliyev. This substation is supplied with electricity through a 110 kV double-circuit overhead line from the 110/35/10 kV Kalbajar substation. As a result of connecting the newly constructed substation with the 110/35/10 kV Gorchu and Lachin substations, a 110 kV circular power supply scheme will be created.

The substation is equipped with two 110 kV, 40 MVA transformers, as well as 110 kV and 35 kV gas-insulated switchgears that meet modern standards. The substation is connected to an automated SCADA dispatch system and equipped with remote control telecommunications devices, modern electronic relay protection and automation systems.
