Opening ceremony of Isa Bulagi recreational complex
On July 5, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the Isa Bulagi recreational complex in Shusha.
Considered one of the rare pearls of Azerbaijani nature, Isa Spring was fully restored by the Shusha City State Reserve Administration after the Patriotic War. The spring itself is built of marble, with the inscription “İsa bulağı” designed in national ornamentation, and its water supply system was fully restored. The surrounding recreation area and restaurant were renovated in a national architectural style, and landscaping work was carried out in the area. The complex includes four guest houses and one restaurant.
Located approximately four kilometers from the city of Shusha, at an altitude of around 1,300 meters above sea level in a forested area, Isa Spring is regarded as one of the most popular recreation spots in Azerbaijan, including Karabakh. According to local accounts about this hydronym, the spring was named after a farmer named Isa, who is said to have first discovered it in a dense forest in the 18th century.
