Groundbreaking ceremony for the Boyuk Marjanli village

On May 18, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the village of Boyuk Marjanli in the Jabrayil district. The head of state laid the foundation for the Boyuk Marjanli village.

Boyuk Marjanli village is located in the Aras Valley, 22 kilometers from the city of Jabrayil. It is one of the largest settlements in the Jabrayil district. According to the Master Plan, the total area of the village is 362 hectares. 1,074 individual houses and several multi-story residential buildings have been designed to accommodate 6,230 people, by 2040. According to the “First State Program on the Great Return” covering the period until 2026, the area of the initial phase of development is 41 hectares. During this phase, 149 individual houses will be built to relocate 542 people to Boyuk Marjanli. The houses to be constructed will consist of two, three, four, and five rooms.
