Visit to the Shusha Fortress Walls

On May 17, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited the Shusha Fortress Walls. The President of Belarus was briefed on the historical significance of Shusha and the construction of the fortress walls.

Built by Khan of Karabakh, Panah Ali Khan, the fortress served as a long-standing defense against external invasions and symbolized impregnable strength. During the occupation period, the fortress walls were subjected to Armenian vandalism, following the liberation of Shusha, restoration and repair work was carried out on the fortress walls.
