President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva’s visit to Shikh Dursun village in the Khojavend district

On December 20, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the Shikh Dursun village in the Khojavend district. The President and the First Lady toured the Chinar Sacred Place memorial complex located in the village.

Shikh Dursun village, which falls under the administrative area of the Girmizi Bazar settlement, was occupied by Armenian armed forces on October 2, 1992. The village was cleared of separatists as a result of local counter-terrorism measures conducted by the Azerbaijani Army in Karabakh on September 19–20, 2023.
