Opening ceremony of military hospital in Kalbajar

On May 27, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, attended the opening ceremony of the military hospital in Kalbajar.

The Kalbajar military hospital, situated on a 3.6-hectare area, has a capacity of 180 beds during peacetime. The capacity can be increased to 300 beds during wartime. The hospital comprises several facilities including the first treatment building with departments for polyclinic services, therapy, surgery, and anesthesiology-intensive care; the second treatment building with departments for infectious diseases and dermatology; a headquarters building; and facilities for permanent medical oxygen supply, laundry-boiler room, a control and checkpoint, and a canteen. The polyclinic section houses specialized offices for ophthalmology, otolaryngology, cardiology, dentistry, neurology, psychiatry, physiotherapy, and other disciplines.

The emergency room is fully equipped to provide initial medical assistance. The hospital also includes two operating rooms and a laboratory section that meets the highest standards.
