Acquaintance with the work carried out in Aras Valley Economic Zone

On May 4, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the ongoing activities at the Aras Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park in the Jabrayil district.

The fact that the Aras valley of the Eastern Zangezur economic region has a mostly plain terrain and the position of the gateway to the south of the region provides favorable conditions for the activity of the Aras Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park. Spanning an area of 200 hectares, the Aras Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park has garnered significant interest from entrepreneurs. Currently, 5 business entities have registered as residents of the Park, while 1 entity is registered as a non-resident. As a result of these projects, a total of 32.7 million manats will be invested in the Industrial Park, creating over 420 permanent jobs.

The priority directions of the Industrial Park include the establishment of logistics and trade centers, warehouse complexes, wholesale and retail sales facilities, truck parking, customs, fuel stations, automobile and other technical repair centers, among others. To ensure the comfort of workers and entrepreneurs operating in the Park, mobile housing units have been deployed. Additionally, a subartesian well has been dug on the site to ensure water supply to the construction area. A 630 kW transformer station has been installed on the premises. Solar panels are used for the park’s lighting needs, harnessing solar energy.
