Groundbreaking ceremony for Khanlig village

On May 4, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the village of Khanlig in the Gubadli district. During the ceremony, President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation for the village of Khanlig. 

The village is located 16 kilometers from the center of the Gubadli district, on the banks of the Hakari River. The planned area of the residential settlement covers the old area of the Khanlig village and spans over 273 hectares. In the first phase, 356 private houses will be built for the relocation of 1357 people to the village. The houses to be built will have two, three, four, and five rooms. In total, more than 4,000 residents (1,024 families) are planned to be settled in the Khanlig village.
