On May 3, the 4th international conference on “Shaping the Geopolitics of the Greater Eurasia: From Past to Present to Future”, organized by ADA University to mark the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, has been held in Shusha with the participation of over sixty scholars and political scientists.
It has already become a tradition in our country to hold discussions on new challenges, the risks and threats faced by Eurasia with the participation of think tanks. The significance of holding this conference in Shusha lay in drawing international attention to the traces of Armenian vandalism and the restoration and reconstruction efforts carried out by Azerbaijan in the liberated territories. This conference also served as an important platform for discussing the development of relations between the South Caucasus countries in the post-conflict period, discussions on the possibilities of opening communications, and reviewing the peace agenda formulated by Azerbaijan for normalizing relations with Armenia as the foundation for the region’s progress, security, and prosperity.
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the conference. In his opening speech, the head of state welcomed the guests and expressed gratitude to ADA University for organizing this conference dedicated to the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of independent Azerbaijan.
