Groundbreaking of the Lachin International Airport

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, during their visit to Kalbajar and Lachin districts on August 16, laid the foundation for Lachin International Airport.

The airport to be built in Gorchu village of the Lachin district will be the highest airport above sea level in Azerbaijan. It is planned to build 6 airfields at the airport, which will have 3 kilometers length runway.
