Groundbreaking ceremony for the Aghdam Industrial Park

On May 28, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Aghdam Industrial Park and laid the park’s foundation.

The industrial park will consist of several zones, including food industry, small-scale industry and service, large industrial enterprises, technical and social areas, a TIR park, and a construction materials market. It is planned to establish construction materials production facilities, packaging of agricultural products, production and processing of canned fruits and vegetables, meat and dairy products, wine, feed, fertilizer, as well as the organization of service areas and refrigeration chambers.

Based on initial applications, 33 small manufacturing and service enterprises, as well as major industrial and food production facilities will operate within the industrial center to be established in Aghdam. Nearly 110 million manats will be invested in the project, creating around 330 new jobs.
