Familiarization with restoration and reconstruction works at the Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque

On May 13, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, and their daughters Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva reviewed the restoration and reconstruction works being carried out at the Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque in Shusha.

Built between 1768 and 1769, the Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque, like other historical and religious monuments, suffered from Armenian vandalism during the years of occupation.

The restoration works at the mosque are being implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
