Restoration work at the Khan Gizi spring

On May 12, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, and their daughters Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva visited the restored Khan Gizi spring in Shusha.

Together with his family, President Ilham Aliyev drank water from the spring and noted that the Natavan Spring had been restored, water now flows again, and the site has been reopened for use by Shusha’s residents and visitors. The Head of State emphasized that the enemy had once dried up this and other springs of the city, but today Shusha has revived, and is restoring its symbols.
