Meeting with residents relocated to Shukurbayli village

On May 9, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva met with residents relocating to Shukurbayli village in the Jabrayil district.

During the meeting, President Ilham Aliyev congratulated the residents on their return to their native homeland and stated that Shukurbayli village, which had been completely destroyed during the occupation, had been rebuilt and transformed into a modern settlement. He noted that a school, a music school, kindergartens, a medical station, and all essential infrastructure for comfortable living had been established in the village. The Head of State emphasized that large-scale reconstruction and development works are being carried out across the liberated territories and highlighted the implementation of important projects in the Jabrayil district aimed at ensuring employment opportunities and promoting the development of agriculture and industry.

The residents expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva for returning to their native lands. Following the meeting, the residents were presented with keys to their new homes.
