Expanded meeting in Shusha

On September 16, an expanded meeting was held in Shusha between President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the special importance of the President of the United Arab Emirates’ visit to Karabakh, noting that the brotherly and strategic partnership relations between the two countries are developing at a high level. During the meeting, the sides discussed the expansion of cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, transport, and investment. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan underlined the consistent development of bilateral relations and expressed his country’s commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership. He also reaffirmed the UAE’s support for the establishment of peace and cooperation in the region.

As part of the meeting, numerous documents were signed between the two countries, including the Joint Declaration on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, as well as agreements in the areas of energy, transport, artificial intelligence, tourism, and other sectors.
