President Ilham Aliyev received Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces

On September 15, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu in Shusha. During the meeting, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s greetings were conveyed to the Head of State, and President Ilham Aliyev, in turn, extended his greetings to the President of Türkiye.

The sides emphasized the successful development of the Azerbaijan–Türkiye brotherly and strategic alliance relations, particularly in the military sphere. They also highlighted the significance of the Shusha Declaration and expressed satisfaction that the meeting coincided with the 107th anniversary of the liberation of Baku by the Caucasian Islamic Army. Discussions also focused on further strengthening military cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
