Acquaintance with the restoration of private houses and infrastructure in Kolatagh village
On August 21, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva reviewed the restoration of private houses and infrastructure in the Kolatagh village of Aghdara district.
Of the 140 private houses in the village, 30 were deemed uninhabitable, while 110 were partially suitable for restoration. To date, 26 houses have been fully renovated. On August 15, 26 families, comprising a total of 89 individuals, returned to their native village of Kolatagh. By the end of October this year, the restoration of an additional 26 houses is planned, with repairs and restoration of 58 houses scheduled for 2026.
Work is ongoing to establish modern social infrastructure in the village. One transformer and one kilometer of the existing electricity line have been repaired, an artesian well has been restored, and 26 houses have been supplied with water. By September, the provision of potable water to the village will be fully completed. To date, 10,600 linear meters of new gas pipelines have been installed, with an additional 2,800 linear meters planned for construction.
To ensure the well-being and recreational needs of residents, a modern recreation park has been established in the village. The park includes a flag square, sports and children’s playgrounds, a recreational zone, and green spaces.
