Visit to Khanyurdu village in Khojaly and meeting with residents

On July 18, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the village of Khanyurdu in Khojaly, met and talked with residents who had moved to Tazabina and Khanyurdu villages. 

Khanyurdu village is part of the Ballija village administrative-territorial unit of Khojaly district. To date, 40 individual houses in the village have been fully restored. By the end of the year, an additional 65 houses are planned for repair and restoration work, with 93 more scheduled for 2026. On July 14 of this year, 33 families, totaling 122 people, returned to their native Khanyurdu village.

Currently, work is underway to establish modern social infrastructure in the village. A 14-kilometer 10 kV power line has been repaired, metering has begun, over 10 kilometers of natural gas pipeline has been installed, a 4-kilometer existing line has been restored, a 400-cubic-meter water reservoir, an artesian well, and a drinking water network have been repaired, a 10.4-kilometer communication line has been laid, ensuring residents’ access to landline, internet, and IPTV services. More than 2 kilometers of internal village roads have been asphalted. A one-hectare recreation park has been established in the village.

Preparatory works are also underway for the renovation of the general education school building, and the building designated for an outpatient clinic and a market is undergoing major repairs.
