Inauguration of the tobacco products manufacturing facility at Aghdam Industrial Park

On July 18, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the tobacco products manufacturing facility owned by Tabaterra LLC at Aghdam Industrial Park.

With the opening of the tobacco products manufacturing facility of Tabaterra LLC, established on an area of ​​5.5 hectares in the Aghdam Industrial Park, the number of enterprises operating in the park has reached 10. The project involved an investment of 58 million Azerbaijani manats. In addition to its own products, Tabaterra LLC produces internationally recognized brands under license from British American Tobacco, Japan Tobacco International, and Imperial Brands. The facility manufactures over 120 types of tobacco products across more than 20 brands. Equipped with nine production lines, the enterprise utilizes advanced technologies from Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom. Manufactured products are exported to the United Arab Emirates, Georgia, Uzbekistan, and Iraq.

As a resident of the industrial park, the facility benefits from tax, customs, and other incentives. Currently, 400 people are employed at the enterprise. Considering the relocation of up to 300 employees to Aghdam city, the company invested in 208 apartments in the Aghdam Residence housing complex and provided them to employees free of charge during their employment.

Based on last year’s results, Tabaterra LLC was recognized as a leading exporter in the non-oil private sector and as the largest taxpayer in the non-oil sector. The projects implemented by Tabaterra LLC in territories liberated from occupation contribute to increasing economic activity, developing industry and agriculture, boosting the region’s export potential, and ensuring employment. The total investment value of these projects amounts to 79 million manats.
